Are you the one who visit the beach regularly? You love to have the sunbath also. But, please be aware the your this habit may make you prone to the serious skin ailments. In the recent survey, it was noted that people who visit the beach regularly suffer with the skin diseases more often than infrequent beach visitor. In spite of this you can’t give up the habit of going to the beach, even I am the same I love to surf beach. So, I went to a dermatologist to get some skin care tips. Here are the skin care tips that he explained to me and told that every beachgoer must follow.
1. Avoid getting excessive tan. This is most important as the ultraviolet rays damage your skin a lot. So, avoid sitting in sun for the more time. The best time to take the sunbath is in the morning before 9 as at this time the intensity of the sun rays is very low and it doesn’t harm your skin. In some cases the occurrence of skin cancer is being noted due to the sunbath. So, keep away from over exposure to sunlight.
2. Use a mat or a sitting strand while sitting on beach. Avoid getting your skin in contact with the sand. The sand on the beach is no way good for your skin. It contains high amount of salt that makes your skin dry. Sometimes the excessive amount of salt may damage your skin and you may feel like itching. You may also get prone to the bacterial infections as many bacteria reside in the salty sand on beach.
3. Applying the sunscreen while on beach is must because direct exposure to the sun rays is not recommended. This sunscreen protects you from ultraviolet radiations emitted by sun. If you go in water after applying sunscreen then it may be washed and then if you sit in sun then no protection would be provided by sunscreen. For this we recommend applying it even after you come out of water.
4. After coming of the salty water of sea, it is always better that you take bath with the soft water (normal water). This will help you to get rid of all those bacteria from the sea water that were residing on your skin. This would also wash out the salt that is deposited on your skin.
5. Sunbathing without clothes has become a fad, but please don’t do it as this way your intimate parts will get exposed to the harsh sun rays. This will certainly burn the skin on those parts as these parts are not used to sun light. So, if you want to keep your skin healthy then please avoid doing sunbathing with no clothes on. If at all you want to opt for it then please do it on your own risk and do it for very short duration.
These are the simple skin care tips for the beachgoers. If you follow these tips then you will be able to prevent yourself from the skin ailments.
